Professional Career Transitions Weekly Meeting

Who We Are: For professionals in an employment transition which uses current successful job search techniques. We will have time for networking, education, and workshop activities during each session.

Park anywhere around the building.  If you enter the front doors (that face Holmes), turn right and go all the way down to the end of the hall.  The room is on the right.  The room is typically cool – bring a jacket.  Seating is limited to the first 25 people.

New Landings Weekly Meeting

New Landings is a non-profit organziation dedicated to the economic recovery of America’s middle class. At New Landings their mission is to empower individuals to invest their expertise, work together and drive community solutions that get people back to work.

Louie Scimeca will share with us how to create your account, how to build your network (to include contacts, groups and companies / jobs), provide information about additional applications and upgrading your account, and discuss linked in mistakes to avoid.  Most importantly, Louie wants to share how to network with the Linked In sight to find the who, what, when, where and how related to finding your next career opportunity.

Social Media Club of Kansas City Monthly Meeting

Networking begins at 7:30 am. 

The format will be “What’s Your Problem?” and the recipient of our wildly helpful and wicked smart advice will be Salvation Army. The will present their business objectives and we will tell them how we think they can use the social channel to achieve those goals.

Nicole Feltz was just 8 years old when she was first placed in the Salvation Army Children’s Shelter at 101 W. Linwood Blvd. Today, Nicole is now a successful financial analyst for Cigna Healthcare in Overland Park. Join us as we hear her story and how the Children’s Shelter made a positive difference in her life. Amanda Waters, the Divisional Director of Community Relations with her team from Salvation Army and their partner, 610 Sports will discuss the Salvation Army Larry Stewart Memorial Radiothon that will be held this August and directly benefits the Salvation Army Children’s Shelter. Be prepared to share your ideas and learn from others on how social media can be instrumental in giving a voice to non-profit campaigns!
